This Privacy Policy describes how TurboAI, Inc. (“Turbo”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website at https://www.turbostudio.ai (the “Website”), our Gio browser extension and related browser surfaces (the “Extension”), and any other products or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).
If you are a user of the Gio browser extension, this is the Privacy Policy that governs your use of the Extension. The sections most relevant to you are Section 1.2 (Information collected automatically when you use the Extension), Section 2 (How We Use Information), Section 3 (How We Share Information), and Section 6 (Your Rights and Choices).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the Service. The categories below describe what we collect and when.
1.1 Information you provide to us.
- Account information. When you sign in to the Extension, we collect your work email address so we can authenticate you and associate your activity with your team. We send a one-time passcode to that email address to verify it; we do not collect or store your email password or any third-party login credentials.
- Feedback content. When you submit feedback or an idea using the Extension, we collect the text comment you write and any metadata you intentionally attach (such as a label or priority).
- Communications. If you contact us by email or through a form on the Website, we collect the contents of your message and your contact details.
1.2 Information collected automatically when you use the Extension. When you explicitly activate feedback mode on a tab and submit a comment, the Extension collects:
- Page URL. The URL of the tab on which you submitted the feedback, so the recipient developer can reproduce the issue.
- Element selector. A CSS selector identifying the element you clicked or annotated on the page, so the feedback can be anchored visually.
- Screenshots. An image of the visible portion of the page, and optionally an image of the specific element you selected, captured at the moment you submit the comment. The Extension does not capture screenshots in the background or on pages where you have not started a feedback session.
- Console logs. A buffered copy of the JavaScript console messages (
console.log,console.warn,console.error,console.info) that occurred on the page during your session, so the recipient developer can debug the issue. The Extension does not exfiltrate console logs from pages you have not submitted feedback on. - Authentication token. A short-lived token that proves you are signed in. It is stored in
chrome.storage.session, which Chrome clears automatically when you close your browser, and is never shared with third parties.
The Extension does not collect your browsing history, the content of pages you visit, keystrokes, form inputs, financial information, health information, or biometric data. It does not run in the background on pages where you have not started a feedback session.
1.3 Information collected automatically when you use the Website. When you visit our Website, we and our analytics providers collect standard web analytics data, such as pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. We use PostHog as our analytics provider; see Section 5 (Third-Party Services).
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and operate the Extension and Website;
- Deliver feedback you submit to the appropriate developers and project owners on your team;
- Maintain, improve, and secure the Service, including troubleshooting and preventing abuse;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including service announcements and updates you have requested;
- Comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, and enforce our Terms of Use.
Use of AI services. The Extension is part of our Gio product, which is powered by artificial intelligence. To deliver Extension features — such as summarizing feedback, drafting issues, classifying ideas, routing comments, and generating replies — we send your feedback content, screenshots, console logs, and related metadata to third-party AI model providers acting as our processors. The specific providers we use are listed in Section 5 (Third-Party Services), and the providers we use may change over time as we evaluate model performance. Under the API terms we accept with these providers, your content is processed solely to return a response to us and is not used to train their general-purpose models; providers may retain inputs and outputs for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring before deletion, in line with their published API data usage policies.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your feedback content, screenshots, console logs, or any data collected through the Extension to train our own or any third party’s generative AI or machine learning models for any purpose unrelated to delivering the feedback you submitted.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
- With your team. Feedback you submit through the Extension is shared with the team or workspace you authenticated into, including the developers, designers, and project managers who are members of that workspace. The point of the Extension is to route your feedback to those people.
- With service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting providers, email delivery providers, analytics providers, and third-party AI model providers (currently OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) that process feedback content, screenshots, and console logs on our behalf to power Gio’s summarization, classification, and reply features. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information and to use it only on our instructions. See Section 5 for details.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights, property, or safety of Turbo, our users, or others, or respond to a lawful request from a public authority.
- In a business transaction. If Turbo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change in ownership or control of personal information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
Information collected through the Extension is transmitted over HTTPS to our servers and stored on infrastructure operated by reputable cloud providers in the United States. We apply industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure.
We retain feedback content, screenshots, console logs, and associated metadata for as long as your team workspace remains active and for a reasonable period afterward to support audit, legal, and operational requirements. Authentication tokens are short-lived and are cleared from your browser when you close it or sign out. You may request deletion of your account and the associated personal data at any time as described in Section 6 (Your Rights and Choices).
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service:
- PostHog — product analytics for our Website. PostHog receives anonymized or pseudonymized event data such as pages viewed and feature interactions. See PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloud hosting and email delivery providers that store our data and deliver one-time passcodes and operational messages.
- AI model providers — we use OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to power Gio’s AI features. When you submit feedback through the Extension, the content of your comment, the screenshot, the console logs, and related metadata are sent to one or more of these providers so Gio can summarize, classify, and respond. The set of providers we use may change over time as we evaluate model performance. Under our API agreements with these providers, your content is not used to train their models; providers may retain inputs and outputs for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring before deletion. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy, Anthropic’s Privacy Policy, and Google’s Privacy Policy.
The Extension itself does not load any remote code, third-party scripts, or third-party tracking on the pages you visit.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and similar laws. These rights may include the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request that we correct or update inaccurate personal information;
- Request that we delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information;
- Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising);
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@turbotime.io. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
You can also uninstall the Extension at any time from your browser’s extension settings, which immediately stops all data collection by the Extension.
7. International Users
Turbo is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand and consent to the transfer of your information to, and processing of your information in, the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@turbotime.io and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
